    WTB: Beat up/broken/shot up chronograph

Looking for a bargain. I like fixing things. If you have pics of the damage especially internal damage that would help.

Maybe I could even fix a bunch of chronos if I get good at it and the forum could put them in the swap box or something.

EDIT: i'm happy to pay shipping, I can even email USPS shipping labels and schedule a pickup to you dont have to go anywhre

I may have an old Chrony with a damaged read-out window...IIRC caught a fiber wad from a 45-70 BP load. Will check my 'odds & ends" bin in the morning and let you know what I've got.

that would be awesome!! if I fix more than one I will put it in the PIF swap box or just put up a PIF thread for it (or if I just stop using it...I need it for some boolit load tests though and then I probably wont need it once I get things dialed in..so it would go on to another forum member! maybe it could be in rotatioN!)

Would the price of shipping be too much for ya. I think its the F1.
The front censor is ok but the back censor got taken out. The outside case needs a little work but not much. I mite still have all of the rods also. PM me if interested

hmm okay looking at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LfZtyHXMN7k it seems like the sensors are just normal photodiodes. I would have thought maybe they had used something more novel.

This is something I can definitely work on! Even a thrashed sensor might be something I can fix

I have an old Chrony F-1 with a bad rear sensor. It suffered a .356" diameter structural failure. Between the two of us we have one good one
