    Heavy 38 boolets

Looking for about 30 heavy 180 to 190 gr cast boolets for a 38 special. This is for a reloading buddy wants to try them out to see how they work. What bullet do you all recommend thanks?

I have about that many boolits as cast with a hard alloy. They are from a NOE 360-183 RF GC mold cast as Hollow points with the deep pins. Send a PM if interested.

Thanks for the link. Everywhere I looked are out of stock. I don’t even know if they will stabilize. He wants to try them at close range . 15 yards or so thanks .

If you want to buy bullets which are available commercially without casting your own or buying a mold, then get the Hunter's Supply 190-grain FN from Midway in the .358 diameter. The equivalent mold of simiilar design from Accurate is 36-185E or 36-185F. In .38 Special brass DO NOT use the normal crimp groove, but seat bullets out and crimp in the top lube groove at 1.55" OAL. For a standard-pressure load use 3.2 grains of Bullseye or TiteGroup, or 4.2 grains of Unique. For +P use 4 grains of Bullseye, 5 grains of Unique, 9 grains of Alliant #2400 or 10 grains of IMR or H-4227.

I’ve got some 170g SWC if that works for you...
Mould forth, and load in peace.
