    contender hammer spring

Boy did I learn a lot about the contender and how it works. 5 hours trying and 15 min doing the job. Main tool is a 32cal ball starter brass, small hammer and small punches. Lots of luck and !!!!!!!!!!. Done and work great.

Best way to learn is dive in and get wet

A slave pin to hold the spring inside the hammer while it is being inserted makes the job much easier.

This. You can use an old drill bit or the proper undersized roll pin.
