    Lachmiller sizer

    I was in a LGS the other day and they had a sale table of parts and pieces. Amongst these was a Lachiller sizer and luber. It was missing a two pieces, the cap for the lube, and the sizer handle, which I assume is the Chapman wrench. A chapman wrench I had at home fit exactly! Made a low ball offer and walked off with it. Never seen a Lachmiller sizer before, and I have been casting for about sixty years! When were these produced! I'm guessing in the 60's? Looks well made and the Lyman and RCBS sizers fit! It was filled with a very hard lube that had to be boiled out! It looks like a cross between Lyman and RCBS. Will make a cap on my lathe and give it a try, but don't think I need three sizers, but I couldn't pass on it for I'm a sucker for a good price!

    Congrats. I may have done the same thing, as I enjoy putting old tools back in service, even if they don't stay with me.

    The Lachmiller is now the RCBS. They may have parts, though it would be the LAM 1.
