    Cooler temps, time to cast.

Midwest is getting some cooler temps. Cast and coated for about 4 hours Saturday morning wearing a flannel shirt. Looks like rest of the week is going to be the same. Not bad for our usual hot season.

Sounds nice. It was mid-90's here Saturday and the sun blazing down to boot. I spent most of the day next to the cooker in the back yard turning range scrap into ingots. I ended up with about 150#, but it was rough. My momma told me I wasn't the sharpest bulb in the shed.

Poured 500+ Arsenal 309-188PCs Saturday; crimped on checks and sized yesterday afternoon. Will powdercoat tomorrow morning...if I don't go to the range, that is.

mid-90's, high humidity, so I cast up about 800 38s. Baste me now, I am cooked.

Yea, I took advantage of our cool spell and cast around 67 lbs of 9 mm and .45 bullets and coated them with Hi-Tek.

We were 104 & 105 here for a few days but we are cooled off to the low 90’s but expected to rise into the upper 90’s then slide back to the mid 90 range.

We run low humidity though and that makes a huge difference. Not every night but several we have bottomed the mercury into the low sixties at night however.

But as to casting, farming is superseding that.

I am working on some .223 brass just to work off my frustrations over the current state of affairs and in case they are suddenly needed for “educational” purposes.
