    Hello ,

I am fairly new to the PC method but found that indeed there is a relation between amount powder and amount&type of boolits is key for even coating.

First I wish to thank the contributors, there is a lot off info provided by you all to achieve succes

In short I use a tumbler, without BB.s and put different amounts of my powder for different boolit types , tumbling a pound of them each time. For 5 minutes. Lukewarm (1 min ina preheated oven)

Gives me same coverage on 9, 40, 45

But i pick em out of the bowl, light tap and put them on a tray with the silicone sheet.
Bake at 180 degrees celcius for 20 minutes... voila!

23 grams powder for a pound of 45 lee cast 210 grns
28 grams of powder for a pound 9 mm lee cast 129 grns
25 grams for a pound of the 40 lee cast 181 grns..

I worked for 7 years as a paint chemist for a company (Valspar) that was bought by Sherwin Williams several years ago... silicones were typically avoided as they caused lots of defects in the coatings like poor/inconsistant flow and "fish eyes"...
