Congratulations to those keeping up with the...Reading the bible...thread above in the stickies . As of yesterdays reading you have completed reading the book of Hebrews . Hebrews gave us great insight and instruction . If you get a chance you might read Hebrews and reread Proverbs . I think you'll make discoveries of insight that could profit you in understanding . In admission...When I was younger I thought Proverbs didn't contain the 'weight' of many other books of our bible . But through time I have 'learned' how supporting it is in context and strengthening of other books in the New Testament .

Though I haven't ever mentioned it today is a day I have waited for ! Today we begin the reading of the book of James . In truth James is my go to book of the new testament . James to me is down to earth , it is plain spoken . Often called the 'Sinner's guide or 'Sinner's handbook' I find it necessary in my life because I am a sinner .

James points out flaws , gives easy to understand explanation and provides remedy and advice to better our relationship with our Lord . Thank you for reading GOD's word .

I noticed that we started James and immediately thought of you, Boaz. You've always said that James is your "go to", so that's not a surprise.

I'm looking forward to reading this everyday. And to be honest, for all the times I've read it, reading Hebrews this time, I've gained a perspective I didn't have before. It seems more and more relevant, perhaps to current events, or perhaps the Holy Spirit revealing God's will to us all.

I agree Pine Baron . In the rereading of scripture I seem to always have missed connecting the dots in complete understanding or in support of other verse . That's one reason it is the 'living' word of him . Different verse guides and confirms at different times and places in our lives . His word is just as relevant now as it was then . We have not changed .
