At a gun auction about 5 years ago saw it setting with about 50 other single actions, My first thought was a Black Hawk, but something didn't look right, picked it up and and thought I should try for it. No one bid on it so I got it cheap.
Smith & Wesson 629-2, carried many miles here in grizzly, wolf, and mountain lion country. It shoots the RCBS 245 gr and Lyman 429421 boolits.
This is a 44 mag does this count? I got the lee reloading die in 44 25 years ago and finally got me a 44

Picked up my first 44mag yesterday, a Smith &Wesson M69 4.25in. Loaded up 100 ladder loads with Universal and IMR4227 (the old stuff in the metal can) using 240gr LSWC. It preferred both loads near or at max charge. Lots more load development to do.
This was the best group at 15yds free hand, load was 24gr IMR4227.

What kind of grips are on the top ? I’m looking for something in rubber, but larger than the Houge monogrip or Pachmeyrs...My classic's. 5, 6 1/2, 8 3/8 and 7 1/2 Power Ported.

I shot a mod 69 today it s a sweet shooting 44.

Mine looks like this but with the standard front sight. Usually gets 310s with 296 but sometimes rb with unique is all ya need. Gave it to mom in case she runs into ole yogi180gr XTP max load H110
