Although I am an agnostic, I do believe in the power of prayer. Odd dichotomy eh?
I am an avid cyclist. Most years I average 3,000+ miles although this year the miles are down.
One of our most well known cyclists, top tier caliber rider, was hit by a car yesterday. When you ride with Perry, he will push you mercilessly but he is also one of the more encouraging cyclists that we have. i.e. he is not a bike snob.
Anyway, the ***, hope that is not against the rules but it is fitting in this case, that hit him took off and left him on the road. He was airlifted to the local trauma center where he is stable but in ICU. I've not heard about the extent of injuries but some other riders that we ride with regularly work in the ER. HIPA comes into play to some degree but word will get out about the level of injuries.
I suspect that at 60 years of age, it will be a tough recovery. He can use some prayers.
