    Little prayer for my youngest please...

    She is about the hit the OR this morning... extra bone in her foot will be removed, tendons in her foot and leg will have some work done and a cadaver bone will be inserted into the other side of her foot. She is 13 and grows in mysterious ways... the extra bone in her right foot is 1/3 longer than the one in her left foot and it just will not fit, so it must go! Size 10 mens wide and still growing.

    This will be Sam's first major procedure and major recovery. This extra work is to keep her in good shape for catching, she is an amazing softball catcher. She usually plays up to U16 and as for the last year or 2.

    She is out of surgery... they had to add a titanium pin to hold a tendon, the extra bone had gotten so big that it had really over stretched the tendon. She is always in a horrible mood if she is not in sports or active for a period of time. The next couple of months will really test our patience.

    Glad she had a successful surgery and we'll keep her in our prayers for a speedy recovery. The "impatience" of youth . . . we all experienced it. As mentioned, maybe she can help coach during her recovery until she is up to snuff again.
