Single shot bolt action, appears to only have the bolt handle as a locking lug, similar to the way rimfire bolt actions are made. Grooved for standard .22 tip off scope mounts.
Anyone know anything about them? Decent rifles?

It may be a BRNO/CZ, or a very economy rifle imported by the likes of snake oil salesman Herter (google "George Herter's Plinker Rifle"), or one of the now defunct importers that used to advertize them in the gun rags of the day.
BRNO/CZ rifle were/are made in Czechoslovakia, and not in Germany, AFAIK
IIRC the non-BRNO's were cheap junk from the late-60's/late-70's that even Frank DeHaas (Mr. Single Shot) advised against firing with any CF ammo.
It's basically a soft steel RF action forced into CF use, and has only the bolt handle root as a locking lug, no safety lug, tend to develop excessive headspace real fast.

Good to know. I only shoot light reduced loads in Hornet, but I think I'll pass on this one.
