    Lyman 358430

I have "discovered" this bullet recently. I probably knew of it but as RN in general barely get an acknowledgment from Me

I have been experimenting with the 350 legend and This bullet might be better than the rcbs 210 for my needs. I also shoot 35Rem, 357 Max 357 Mag as well.

A HP version would be even better!

I see Al has what appears to be a version. In his 360-197. Any one confirm that? Meaning is it a copy. I might have to call Al and ask.

Just seeking experience from Our cast knowledge base here with this bullet.

A very cool & old cast boolit...our LE boys of old used it and called it a 'Pelvis Breaker' and for good reason.
Here it's loaded and compared to the Lyman 358311, 358429 & 358477...it's in .38S cases.

I sent Jamie (JH586) these uncoated & unsized (bhn 16 I think?) and he had good results in the 350L or was it the 358 Eagle, not sure...same animal different size.

Did a couple videos on this cast too...

200g 38S Jug Busters _ Super Police Load of yesteryear

Kenny (EagleEyeShooting) ran several of the numbers in his Quick Load and this is what I based my work-up on here...

Here's the results of the work-ups...

This is one of yesteryears great casts ... hope you do some videos and help bring this cast to the attention of the 350L shooters.

I was hoping you would comment Charlie!!

Yes of coarse I have watched those and they have severely contributed to this affection!

I have also watched Kennys videos but he mostly zinked them IIRC. No interest in that.

I have all those molds sans the 430. I dont use the 311 at all. Well a lil in the 38 Super but I like the Saeco #383 better there. I love my 358429 in solid and HP!!

    The 477 is classic. I cast a pile last month in my own 1:10 - 1:16 - 1:20 testing.

The 311 is a nostalgic round for me ... it's the factory round that Dad used to give me to shoot his snubby when I was a kid.

I wanted to see how close I could make a PC'd 311 look to those of days of old...
(it's the 3'rd from the right & the one to it's left is a clear coated version)

Almost the same boolit as the Lyman 35875 I have both the 358430& the 358430 both drop 200grain boolits+/- 2grains I think the 35875 is just a little flatter nosed than the 358430. I've done better with the NOE 360200 in my 357Maximums, never tried it in the 38's or 357's.

    I love 358430. I have a few 2 cavs and a 6-cav of that one.

It's from a 'free, no copyright site' called 'Looperman' the song is called "I am a King" and recorded by someone called Haven McInerney.
If you use anything musical on the Y-Tube that is copyrighted your in for trouble, they put a strike against you and collectively the strikes can get you kicked off the Y-Tube.
Haven does some good music, I like it also.

If you like those heavy bullets but want something with a flat nose the Ranchdog 190 works rather well , I load mine to just under cylinder length so you don't take up a lot of case capacity . With or without a gascheck they shoot pretty well
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

Thanks and Your 100%. I have that mold!!

I also have a WFN 190 that I like allot. But taht ine is just a bit too "fat" to chamber unless very deep seated.

The RD works well But dosent feed as well.
