Probably my Marlin 39a followed closely by my Marlin 357mag, but my Winchester 357 mag. is coming up on the outside quickly!!

1978 Winchester '94. My dad gave it to me for Christmas. I put a Lyman peep sight on it and a sling. Good rifle with great memories. My #2 is my Marlin 39a.

My 1974 Model 94 30-30 is the first rifle I ever bought and is my favorite hunting rifle, I did install a Williams peep sight. Second is my Marlin 1895GBL in 45-70 with an XS rail, ghost sights and a Leupold FX-II 2x28 scope, I really love that rifle!

This is my current favorite, ran across it in a local shop, couldn't just leave it setting on the shelf. Its a Marlin 1894CP 357 Mag with a 16" Ported Barrel

Savage Model 99 in .250-3000 Savage. My Dad made countless clean kills hunting deer with this gun over the years, most dropping in their tracks. He had it drilled and tapped for a Unertl 4x Hawk in the 1960s by Flaigs on the Hill. He used it in rain and snow each season like a gun should be used, then babied it with a rag soaked in some boiled linseed oil each winter. I plan to carry her this Fall.

For some reason I cant post pictures anymore?

Anyway, my favorite is my Winchester 1895 .30-06, it's always with me ( in the truck, in hand , or hanging in a saddle scabbard). Its accurate and quick handling and the round is plenty for anything in this country.

The Marlin 336 family of rifles are my favorite repeaters.

I’m going to say that it’s got to be my little Winchester 1894 AE Trapper in .45 Colt. I bought it new around 1996 or so. It’s a little tack driver. Guess now I’ll have to get it out this weekend and put a few downrange.

    It’s so hard to choose.
For pure sexy appeal and love for the cartridge I have to go with my Uberti 1873 with the 18” barrel and straight stock.
You can’t beat that type of firepower in a beautiful rifle. Being able to load progressive with carbide dies and still have all that horsepower makes me happy.
If I had to keep only one it would probably be my Marlin 1894C in the same cartridge. I have a feeling it’s a little more bulletproof.

Ive re-fallen in love with 1892's having gotten one of the latest Rossi CBC made 357's. No show gun but it functions nicely, even cycles a 38 special with wadcutter loaded out. I'd been lugging bigger octagon barrel actions around for a while and had forgotten how light a 1892 round barrel is.

I've got 2 rossi 92s, a 16" and a 24" octagon. They're both super fun to shoot and very accurate with all the boolits I've put through them.

The 16" is my favorite woods gun when I'm up in Maine. It's as light as a bb gun but packs 8 rounds of 357 butt-kicking goodness. If that wont stop a charging critter, I hope I make a good meal.
