    F1 suppressor time

So, buying a suppressor will set you back about $1,000 and 12 months of waiting. Decided that ain't good enough, so I'm going down the rabbit hole of making an F1 can.

Titanium tube, 8" x 1.625", making this for a dedicated 300 BLK sub gun. Anyone else go down this route for your suppressor? I'm working up a CAD for the baffles and spacing currently. Lots of info out there from others, few certain facts to be had.

Watching with interest. What was the turnaround time on your form1 stamp? I was told to expect 10 months on my stamp for the Sparrow. Wondering if F1 is quicker??

10-12 months is about right, important to remember you can’t start manufacturing it until you get the approved F1 back.

I have built a number of them, lots cheaper and most work better than the ones I have on form 4’s as far as suppression.

Last spring I got an approved F1 stamp in less than a month. I'm getting ready to submit another. Hope it goes as fast.

9-12 months seems to be the current lag.

I don't see any mention of type of filing.

From what I read on other sites, a Form 1 paper filing will take 8-10 months or longer. Form 1 E-filing will take about 3 weeks.

NFA Tracker has user submitted wait times. Efile speeds it up a lot for Form 1.

F1 efile is about 6-8 weeks before the kungflu kicked in

Form 1 efile for me was 17 days last month.

Where did you get the tube?

Yes, I did my .30-cal 5 years ago - other than the blast-chamber, I just stuffed it full of formed freeze-plugs.

Here's a short video shooting supersonics through my AK:

I just got mine done this week. Still deciding to clip the cones or not. All titanium and weighs 14 ounces. 8 cones and spacers. Made it for my 300blk but may tempt to use it elsewhere as well.
Cerakote Black Graphite. All done by me, except for the laser engraving.
