I am with the "useless and too expensive" crowd on this stuff, it's just fluffy red dot

In the big bulk jug ,its the cheapest powder on the market here....According to S.Jacks data , the 44-40 load I use is possibly twice the max.allowable psi for the calibre, but since my rifle also came chambered for 44 M at 40,000psi ,its all good.
Hey John, how accurate are your loads? I never shot for accuracy with the tests but the 6.4gr is great at 265 yards even though it's like lobbing a softball.
The Winchester 92's and Marlin 94's are strong action rifles and Winchester manufactured 22,000cup loads from 1903 to 1945 for the Model of 1892'. My estimation would be 22,000cup should come in somewhere around 18,000psi to maybe 18,500psi with the data I have. But it's still just a ballpark guess.
Been so long since I been to the range ,load is a little hazy ,but say 8.5 gr with the Lee 240 ,which casts 250odd,I think.Accuracy is good enough ,certainly 4" at 100m from a post rest with Lyman aperature and front bead......Rifle is a Win. Mod 94,I bought new in 1973 .
