    Bragging on Erik at hollowpointmold

    Missed you all!

I wanted to brag on Erik over at hollowpointmold.com for a second.

I bought one of his 112 grain Lee 9mm hp conversions a few years ago. I finally hit 100 pounds of cast HP's through it, not counting bad casts. I followed his maintenance and care instructions to the letter and it is still going strong. The sprue plate screw has to be tightened from time to time, but it casts just fine.

Just did my first deal with Erik ... I wanted something out of the ordinary, something I could experiment with several different HP configurations and in two different profiles.
He was a pleasure to deal with, he actually listened to what I wanted, communicated several times back and forth before the final decisions were made, then it was a very fast service and his work is exemplary.

I have had him work on several of my molds and purchased several from him and he is the man on mold mods.

Off-topic, sorry, OS OK, where did that Lyman poster come from? Love to have that and laminate it! Pretty cool mold also!
Take a kid to the range, you'll both be glad you did.

If I remember correctly, it is a fold out from the 1953 Lyman manual. It was mostly torn out when I got the manual and looking at it over the years made it completely come loose...handy chart it is...love that old school look.

    Ditto on Erik.
I had him remove a gas check shank on a few H&G moulds and they cast wonderfully.

I have a 358430 that is destined for Eric once I squirrel away some funds!!

OSOK speaks highly of him and I value that opinion.

Yep. He does awesome work. Sent him 3 molds to modify. They came back exactly as I wanted. The way he has his HP looks like that would work better than NOE's or Mihec's versions. That extra weight in the pins should pull the bullets free from sticky molds.

He just did the pins for a copy of the Rapine 460210 hollow base on a mold made by Tom Ellis, no 46-210RN
