I just bought 300 lbs for 300.00, roofing sheet left-overs, nice and clean. Had to drive 2.5 hrs to go get it. Now I "just' need to melt it all down into workable ingots. reed1911 might have a better way. Sometimes I think the "I have more time than money" theory might have to be re-evaluated.

Use a big pot on a turkey fryer. If it's clean like you said, you don't necessarily have to melt it all down. Cut it with a utility knife into smaller pieces.

With the quality I get from Bushwack, it's hard to justify the difference in time and gas.
There are other vendors here I use and have never been disappointed.

Other places I have been, ordered 60lbs one time as clean ingots, I got a clean ingot, one single ingot that was 60lbs +/- seller said he felt he lived up to his side of the trade.

Oh, I have a turkey fryer and plenty of moulds, but sometimes I think it wold be better to let someone else do some of the work. Getting older, I guess. But I am slow to change, still change the oil in my cars myself.
