finaly got my new glock 22.

had an opportunity to buy used glock 22s from a guy who worked at the prison that was switching to 19s. I snoozed and lost. But it was a good thing. He said they still had some new in the box gen 4 ones for 300 bucks! It took a while for the state to process it but he brought it over last night. 300 bucks for a new 22 with 3 mags! I already have two 22s but its one of my favorite glock models and for that price I couldn't pass it. In my opinion not the best concealed carry gun but probably the best fighting and home defense handgun a guy can have. I keep one by my bed stand, one is in a micro roni set up and this one will be my shooter.

Several years ago I loaded thousands of .40 rnds for a gun I no longer have. Been looking for one of these police trade in 22 or 23’s at those prices , and they do pop up from time to time. I want one to leave in the bedside drawer as well...good buy!

Lloyd, I have two. I like them a lot. Also have a conversion barrel, and proper magazines to shoot 9mm.

    That is an amazing deal!

No all one needs is a good 200 gr hardcast flat point bullet and Hodgdons Longshot powder and you will be set for most situations you will be in.

I have a Gen 3 police trade in Glock 22
I also bought a extended threaded Glock 17 barrel for it

I plink with the 9 mm barrel and have the 40 S&W barrel in it close to the bed
I just with the new slides set up for the red dot sights weren't so much $$

    I have a 2nd gen Glock 23 and a couple 2nd gen Glock 22s as well.
Picked up last year a Glock 17M when they were first availible.

I do like the 40 cal but it has a snap to it.
I did have a 27 with a 9mm conversion barrel that wasn't too bad to shoot but I replaced it with a Sig p365. 12 shots and very thin.

the 26/27 is one glock I never warmed up to. Had both at one time but they were like trying to hold on to a 2inch piece of 2x4. Love my 43 though. Wish glock would make a 43 sized gun in 40!

don't get me wrong. There a good gun. Neither by 26 or 27 even missed a beat but they just didn't feel right in my big paws.

Pearce makes these really neat mag Spacers for G17/22 and G19/23 that allow use of 13 or 15 round mags in a G26/27 to achieve a full grip on the gun.

Completely different animal with the full grip.

They also made a Mag Extension for the G36 and it is about the same. It was supposed to increase the Capacity by 1 round but the spring is too stiff and it won't feed the first round off the mag, so I just load them with 6+1 and enjoy the full grip.

I had some grip extenders for my 27/26. Thing is you might as well carry a19 or 23 then. I do use them for my 29 though. It still makes a decent trail gun and a 20 is just to big for me to tote around all day.

They do. The G30 and the G29.

This is my G19 and G29 side by side...

Yeah kind of I guess. I have a 19 and a 30, but I cannot get my full grip on the 30 like I can the 19. I do use a full size mag so it’s not all that different. Didn’t think of them being that close in size except the grip. I’ll quit complaining now and start eyeballing the 29 again.

Yeah, the size of the cartridge really hampers making the grip much smaller. The G29 with the smallest grip backstrap is barely adequate for me as the G19 with the largest backstrap fits me like a glove, but, ten rounds of 10mm...

I'm a big fan of the Lee 401-175-TC over 3.5 grains Clays or 4.3 Bullseye.

I bought a LEO turn in G22 a few years back & didn’t like it much. Then I found an unissued Kentucky SP G35. Much better.

Conversion to 9mm required a barrel & mag only.
