Older 45 Colts were .454, newer are .452, but this is a generalization. To be sure slug your bore and check cylinder throats.

Depends upon your particular firearm's throat size. I have a couple revolvers that I size the bullets to .452", and a couple I size the bullets to .455".

ill be shooting these in a Uberti Schofield. Normally a Lee sizer is always undersize from what they say it is.Ill probably order the .454 and it will be about .453 id imagine.

Go back and read the sticky. Measure the cylinder throats, not the barrel.

For most modern guns .452 is correct.

    For pre-WW2 revolvers .454 or .455.

Bore diameter is across the tops of the lands. A bore diameter bullet will be too small.

In most guns 0.001" over groove diameter will be close to the cylinder throat size, but it is more correct to measure the cylinder throats to use barrel groove diameter +0.001, particularly if the barrel has an odd number of grooves.

No...size .001-.002 over groove diameter. Preferably .002 inch.
