Adjusting The Loading Area Cut Outs

The '51 framed Pietta's are particularly prone to having limited space on the cut out for getting a bullet beneath the loading ram. Some of the 1860 reproductions have the same problem even though the originals were engineered to shoot the pointy boolits to cut through overlaid layers of cloth.
Do any of you fellas have examples to show of improvements made to adjust the geometries of the loading areas?
