    Relocated some of my stash

Used my skid steer to transport it but had to load and unload by myself. Around 22 buckets of old wheel weights, 6 milk crates full of ww ingots, about a thousand pounds of sheet Lead from x ray rooms, 400 #’s lead pipe, couple hundred pounds of sinkers and a stupid (and I mean stupid) amount of large ingots. 85° and in the direct sun. I had forgotten how heavy milk crates full of ingots weighed. That sure was harder than when I was younger.

What you described is over 4 tons of lead. My back hurts thinking about it!

There is no way I want to mess with anyone that can lift a milk crate of lead. I figure that at about 400 lbs. I ran the 2nd largest manufacturer of dairy crates at one time. My advice is be careful where you store them. They will not take that kind of weight for long and the bottoms will fall apart.

They are ingots just thrown in so lots of voids. Still really heavy.

    That's a nice stash.

I have a part of mine in the house where I can cast in fresh air and privacy, but getting it up there (hillside home with 63 steps to the entry) was no joke.

That was a hard days work! Even with the skid steer helping! A milk crate with Lyman style ingots neatly stacked in it will weigh around 700 pounds. 5 gallon buckets full of wheel weights can weigh anywhere from 100 to 160 pounds. Like NyFirefighter said, thats over 4 tons of lead that you moved.

I think you qualify for the "lifetime supply club"!

    I though I had a good Stash at 2500 pounds. I guess I'm a piker.
But, I forgot, I just got a gift of about 500 pounds of sheet lead, so I'm at a ton and a half. Still have to unload the sheet lead. I just recently had to move my stash never fun.

I am guessing some on here, including me, don't feel very sorry for you having this problem of so much lead.

I've only got about 750-800 pounds, I'd better get busy scrounging.

We just bought land out in the country. We hope to build and move to it in a few years. I dread moving the stash. Thinking about building a tractor shed soon and moving the stash to it a little but at a time. Still daunting.
