    Help with die ID

I recently purchased a milk crate of misc reloading parts at a neighborhood garage/estate sale. There was a group of old bullet sizier/swager dies that I can't identify. Most are old rifle calibers; 7mm, Whelan, Roberts, 270, 30-06, 303 Br, etc. Can anyone tell me which press these were made for?? From the various junk in the box, this old gent once had a C&H H press. (not present) and I don't have one. Click image for larger version.

Hmmmm........could be early C&H, but I'm thinking more than likely homemade.

    I would agree with homemade.

Looks like some of my homemade loading tools.

Some of the parts have the look of the dies and punches that used to come with the Herter’s “Nine-Ton” bullet swaging press. The owner might have fashioned a bunch of homemade dies to be able to make the calibers he wanted. (Or more precise versions of the rather sloppy toleranced dies available from Herter’s.)

The press was a heavy hexagonal chunk of metal, cut in the middle for access, drilled crossways for the lever, and bored lengthways for the ram, punches and dies. The lever was a flat bar with a red handle. Was there anything like that in the estate sale?

What is the writing on the dies in the picture on the right?
