    50GI Loads

I'm looking for 50GI loads with cast boolets. Any suggestions?

I already have the NOE HTC502-325-FN-BZ2 for the 50AE and think it should be a good cast for the 50GI, but I have yet to find a load for it. Looking at the Guncrafter's suggested loads I think I can infer that 5.5gr of Bullseye should work. I've also got Unique, and 231 to try for powders.

    Thraxx,
I am using Hunters Supply 325 gr flat point bullets before I buy a mould.
I have some loaded with Unique and some loaded with Bullseye.
I just need to get time to go and shoot them.
I'll let you know how it goes.

    StrawHat,
I am using a Glock conversion from Guncrafters.
I have around 50 rounds loaded for a ladder test.
Just need to take the time to go and shoot.

With your screen name I thought when you typed 50GI you were refering to the 50 Government from 1866! I just did a search and found the cartridge you referenced. Never heard of it before.

    Straw Hat,
My user name is because I belong to a blackpowder club.
I also load blackpowder .45/70's and am getting ready to try a blackpowder .41 Long Colt load.
Go to Guncrafter Industries website and check out the .50 GI.
To me it looks like fun.

I'd be curious if a .50 roundball would work. I've seen there's been sucess with a RB in the .45acp.

So... If you can turn a .308W case into a .45acp shotshell.... what case would you use to create a .50GI shotshell?
