Do you lube your Hot Glue Bullets?

Do you lube your hot glue bullets? If so what are you using Lee Alox, Paste Wax? Wax shoe polish etc.

No I’ve never lubed hot glue Boolets! Just shoot em with primer only. That’s what I do

I must be more sleep deprived than I thought. I searched, as you suggested, and found a really long fun thread on the subject. Skipped to the end, more or less, and found a post from some guy named Scrounge. From April 20th. Gotta put a note on my Projects board. Then go fix SWMBO's sink. Thanks, guys!

I lube AND add powder when casting to actual bore diameter. I've tried paste wax and heavy grease applied to the bullets lube groove.

I also just cut "wadcutters" off the 44 caliber glue stick, just long enough to seat firmly in a 45 cap case with ~3/16" sticking out from the case.... No casting or lubing or powder, just a 1/8" flash hole and a LG Rifle primer, and it works as good or better as a cast to bore diameter powder added and lubed projectile of the same caliber.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HMG does not need any lube. It is slick itself and slides down the barrel at low velocities.

I use spray-on PAM cooling oil as the mold cavity lube/release and any that is left...........just stays there.

And..............no..............it does not cause wrinkled boolits when I switch back to molten Pb. So don't ever bother asking or commenting. I just wipe the cavities out with a paper towel and cast away. Any PAM left quickly flows away after the 1st boolit drop.

That has not been my experance, and it was not easy to get the stuck bullet out of the barrel. Do you use powder or just primer driven loads?

I have use shotshell primers in reworked brass and also plain rifle primers with 1gr Bulleye both worked fine. This was in 223 remington

Mag primers with 1 gn of any fast pistol powder. Never in a 223 or semi auto hand gun! Always in a 38, 44 or 45 revolver. Or a long gun that shoots those cals.

Just saying what worked for me. 223 was single-shot rifle not a auto.
