    I don't mix it like that any more. I only have about 30 lb's left that I l'll use. The two plates I have are the last most will ever see. I always wanted to use them inside a coffee table or display of some kind. For now I just use them for something to kick into.

    BTW stereotype in a .357 shoots great.

    I used to get lino really cheap, like 25c/#, & it cast beautiful bullets, so I used it for everything. Now days I use it only for alloying pure or range scrap. I don't do much rifle shooting with cast, other than 45-70, so not a huge issue on hardness.
    EVERY GOOD SHOOTER NEEDS TO BE A HANDLOADER.

    Thanks, facetious. I'd read and thought I understood linotype and stereotype, but didn't understand how the first was related to the second.

    Good to get the understanding from somebody with working experience in the industry.

    It takes much less effort to take a hard Alloy like Linotype and add pure lead to it to soften it up to say #2 than it does to try and harden #2 back up to Lino specs.
