This is a model 99C, all original and made 1923, I believe.
This rifle is marked 1899 on the 22 inch barrel.
It is a well used hunting rifle but functions well.
I believe it is all original.
There are 2 rear leaf sight choices on the barrel, either can be folded up to use or both left down to use the peep sight.
The Lyman peep sight has a ring that folds in and out for 2 ring size choices (Lyman Folding Leaf Sight No. 6 - I believe)
Most of the wood looks good for a 97 year old hunting rifle, though there are wood chips and cracks next to the metal butt plate.
There is a wood chip out at the toe.
the metal has some blue, some white and some patina.
Notice the pitting spots at left front of barrel, perhaps from blood contact.
