    Rare find!

I acquired a 5 gallon pail filled to the top with wheel weights the other day. I’m sitting there, sorting through them figuring I’ll get my typical 25 to 30% usable lead wheel weights the rest being zinc , steel, and trash. I couldn’t of been any more wrong! I am through half the buckets sorting and I’ve got a grand total of six non-usable wheel weights! Haven’t seen a bucket of wheel weights like this in 40+ years! it was given to me by someone who said if you smelt it I’ll split it with you. I plan on telling t his person to go back to wherever he got this and get as many more buckets as he possibly can!! Even if the entire rest of the bucket is full of nothing but zinc I’m still up to about 50 or 60 pounds of lead out of this one bucket of wheel weights!!! Needless to say I am a very happy camper

    Very good!

Things like this-- and beer, is proof that God loves us, and wants us to be happy.

Did you send him out for lottery tickets at the same time?? My only concern is that he may have used up his lifetime supply of good luck with that one acquisition.

Congrats,I wonder if someone had already sorted out the trash??? Been a long time since I've seen a bucket of good lead wheel weights. Good find for sure
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left.

I think SSGOldfart is onto something. Maybe that bucket was out of an old stash, maybe even from a caster. Be that as it may, if there're more like it from the same source, you've struck gold!
