    What is it???? scope mount?????

    Have no idea what this is.
    It looks like some kind of mount for a scope/sight.
    No markings on it.
    Have the allen screws and hex wrench.

    Those are bases, I believe for Rem 700. They use two piece rings which split vertically -- one screw goes through the hole and the oblong hole in the right hand base. The other ring screw pinches the ring halves above the scope. The oblong hole, cut on an incline, allows for more MOA on elevation.

    I'm not sure, but I think they may be B-Square brand. I've got a set of them, I'm looking at right now. Mine came on a Rem 40X rifle that I aquired a while back. I've since replaced them with conventional Leupold types, but there was really nothing wrong with these. The extra elevation feature is pretty cool. jd
