    Boot Recommendation

I've searched and researched for my next pair of boots.

I work outside in the low country of South Carolina. Just walking in clients yards and edges of woods. No construction sites.

I have a pair of Rocky snake boots to mainly keep me out of chiggers when in the dense woods.

My last two pairs were Muck Excursion mid boot and a Georgia boot mid rubber. The Muck's soles are mushy and the Georgia's soles are wearing after 6 months.

100 degrees and 100% humidity here most of the summer.

Any other suggestions? I'm looking at the Muckster 2 for my next try.

Pull ons for me. Too lazy and old to bend over. For PC or for boots.

Whites are the best boots I have ever worn.
Their made-to-measure will fit you perfectly.
They are a custom boot which means they are expensive.
Believe me, they are worth the money.

I've got on a pair of Redwing's that have lasted me for almost three years with no noticeable wear on the soles. They are laceups, but when I was a kid Dad wore steel toe pull on Redwings for two years per pair.

A bit more expensive than Rocky's, but they last so much longer they end up being less expensive. My next pair is going to be Redwings again.

+1 for the Xtratuf boots. I wish I could wear them, but they don't come in a 5E width. My right foot is a normal E and the one I tried on for that foot felt like a pair of sneakers. EVERY body in Ak wears them.

You're harder on boots than me but you are a man after my own un-PC heart. I say down with Democrats and their vast stream of PC driven demands. I'm an old American and I don't feel safe or breathe good when I'm on my knees!

    That's a tall order.

I wouldn't want a rubber boot in 100 degrees and 100% humidity unless I was in water most of the day.

Something with a Gore-Tex liner might be slightly more comfortable in the heat, but probably not by much.
For boots in hot weather that occasionally get submerged, the old Jungle boot may be the ticket. They aren't remotely waterproof but the water goes out of them almost as quickly as it goes in. If there is an opportunity for the boot to dry, it may be better to accept some water. They are not good if there is never a chance for them to dry out.

I've worked outside most of my life and really like merrell waterproof boots for men

OK not tall rubber boots but they were/are comfortable and durable
