    Is this real pewter?

I just bought a "pewter" pitcher I think???
This is a picture of the makings on the bottom. I looked online to see if it was pure/real but didnt find a definite answer and figured i would ask u guys as you all know your stuff. I paid $5 so if not I'm not out a lot of money. I want to mix with lead, antimony, and tin that i already have, but want to be sure this is good/real pewter first. Thanks.

I tried to post a full picture but it wont work for some reason. I can bend it and poke holes in it with little pressure with pliers. It all seams like pewter except one piece that I think is stainless as it is much harder and sound way different when dropped on concrete. The other parts sound more dull sounding

610 Is probably a catalogue number. . I had a creamer, sugar, tea pot set with consecutive numbers printed on them.

A touch mark and the word pewter (or the equivalent in a European language) is a pretty good bet.

It's not pewter if it is stamped pewtarex, armetale, Wilton or RWP. Sellers may not know the difference, even places that ought to, like estate auction houses. Be wary of misleading descriptions like, "pewter color" or "pewter/pewtered finish". That includes other languages, if you can translate them. For example, peltro is Italian for pewter. In Europe I found obviously non pewter metal mugs for the tourist trade marked "peltrado".

The sticky at the top of this forum has very useful images of the common forms of pewter found, the touch marks on them, the identifying physical characteristics of the alloy, and some simple tests that help distinguish it from other common metals.
