Last Sunday our pastor before the sermon made an announcement , he had been having dizzy spells and other small problems . But encouraged members he was alright and not to worry . He had went for some tests and thought it was just an 'age' thing .
He is 67 years old , I went to high school with him . He went into seminary after high school and has been doing the Lord's work ever since . He started our church 18 years ago , they had services in a funeral home for 4 years until enough money was available to build a church building . His wife and him worked other jobs to support the ministry . He has always been highly active in outreach programs and missions . He and his wife's work has called many to GOD .
A fellow member called me this morning . The tests came back and he has lung cancer with stage 4 brain cancer along with other complications . He has always been very physically active in everything connected to the church . He never sat and let others carry the load . I am shocked to hear this bad news . His first name is Charles and I ask for prayer for him , his family and our church . This bad news is going to hit everyone hard . Thank you .
