Loading for the 1889 Smchit Ruben

Before I start I did see the 2014 thread on loading the G90 round. I am wondering if any body has had a paper patched mold made for these rifles and where they had it made. I have one of these rifles coming and there is no point in reinventing the wheel. Is there any further info. available on loading these rounds since the 2014 threads. Any help would be appreciated.

    I have one.
Never paper patched so can't really help on that.
I just use sized cast boolets.

What bullets are you using and what load. What kind of accuracy are you getting.

There's a few mould-makers now who cut the cavities on a CNC lathe. Pick your bullet design, and tell 'em what diameter you want it to drop at. I have a number of NOE moulds; they are top quality.

The original GP90 cartridge had a 211gn paper patched heeled bullet, with a lead core of .315 diameter increased to .321 with the paper patch.

I use a 200gn Lyman 314299 bullet, gas checked to .312 and tumble lubed with Lee liquid alox and get zero leading.

I expand the case necks with a Lyman .31 long `M` die to open up the case necks for this bullet.

Unless you want to try and replicate the original GP90 round, there is no need for a paper patch.

Any .30-30 load data works very well in my rifle and carbine. 150 grain on up shoot very well out to 800 yards.
