    Ruger american 45 acp

I have 2 of these.i cant get over how accurate they are.if you folk are in the market for a new play toy, give 1 try.
If you can get by the damn striker fire trigger, they shoot almost as well as my 1911,s.

I think the market is just too saturated with this sort of pistol right now to get people to take notice. We have the Americans at my side job shop and people act like they are invisible.
    Currently casting and loading: .32 Auto, .380 Auto, .38 Special, 9X19, .357 Magnum, .257 Roberts, 6.5 Creedmoor, .30 WCF, .308 WCF, .45-70.

I have one in 9mm. It performs well. I lament the fact that I'll never get one in 40S&W.

For whatever reason, the general market looks at Ruger semi-auto centerfire handguns as "ho-hum" & not as "sexy" as other brands. Glocks get a lot of the attention, due to LEO influence. (And this is sad, because only about 15% of LEO's are actual gun people. And before anybody flames me, I'm an instructor, and my son is LEO, as are MANY of our friends. NO disrespect meant,, just stating the facts we have discovered.)
Next,, S&W, Springfield & Sig all seem to enjoy a good solid following,,! A lot of good things about all of their models have been published, (rightfully so,) and folks do enjoy them. Nothing wrong with any of them, just better publicity.

But, despite the excellent quality of the Rugers,, the general public fails to accept that Ruger builds an excellent semi-auto.

I wished they would expose the hammer on these "hammer" guns.
