    I can't believe the answers here. I taught auto collision for 15 years. Do not use an adhesive of any kind especially weather strip adhesive.

    Take it to the dealership or credible body shop and have them use the appropriate tape. Adhesive is going to cause nothing but problems as noted above. Use the same thing that was in there before.

    if you really want it back on, go by stealershio and ask them to put it back on.... no glue

    But the double sided tape that is specifically used to attach molding in the way to go.

    Honestly - If the paint under the emblem is OK, I would never put it back on.

    my brother inlaw put the emblems back on his boat with my new paslode impulse nailer, worked great cept for the small water leak around the 2&1/2 nail.

    Huskerguy a little humor and no offence please.... "Use the same thing that was in there before"... If the same thing that was in there before , had been in there, it wouldn't have fell off!! LOL
    Get serious now. Hey if you are left with tape/adhesive residue left on anything, first try WD40 to get it off.
