They still do not know for sure all of what is wrong.

I suspect that she is having a sensitivity issue with the screws they put in her back, or the staples, or something.

Her fever keeps going down, then coming back up.

She is not sleeping, she has not been rational or herself much of the time.
She did sound better tonight.

Still leaving it in the Lords hands. What will be will be. Not my will but his be done.

I am getting used to being alone, don't care much for it. Casey my dog keeps me sane. Cindy's cat drives me crazy, but we are working out a compromise.
Little bugger flew through the door outside yesterday. When he got to the front of the house the street noise stopped him for long enough for me to catch him.
He got a couple of hours in the box and a pretty stern talking to.

St Peggy remains involved, concerned, doing what she can to keep me centered and stable.

Katie is doing a great job of stepping up and being the interface between Cindy and the Hospital.

The prayers are helping, overall she was mostly better today. Still not quite herself, but a lot closer to it.

It appears that Cindy is finally out of the woods. Fever is finally gone for good. She was up and walking around yesterday which was a good sign.
And she appears to be fully back to reality not half way over in cloud cuckoo land.

I'm not the praying type but I have little doubt that modern medicine will take good care of her. Add to that, her and your mental attitudes about it will contribute greatly toward the positive healing.

My beautiful wife was given 1 year to live when she was 15 years old. We got married when she was 19 and she lived another 27 years. I watched her suffer greatly during that time but I also watched her have a tremendous amount of success doing the things she wanted to do. In the 31 years she lived after doctors told her she would not, she never had a day without pain. Amazingly, she loved her life and always had a smile on her face. Most people never knew that she was hurting but I always knew.

She passed away holding my hand in 2016 and I've been alone since then.

Hang tough, brother. The time will pass before you know it and you'll be together again. Be grateful. I know you are, but next time you can, hold her close and whisper sweet, stupid nothings in her ear. You'll both be forever grateful that you did.

WAG happens every day. And I never let a day go by without telling her out loud how much I love her. Often 2-4 times a day.

Pine Baron Amen sir, Praise the Lord for he is good.

With Katie, time will tell. She has a good heart. She is also dealing with an incredibly self absorbed husband. So she has a lot on her plate.
We will see.

Somehow I need to convince her that the Lord God Almighty exists.
She has just seen the power of prayer, so she is starting to wonder.

On the good news front, Cindy is still up and around, sleeping better.
Still struggling with no appetite. I think it is a side effect of the heavy hitter IV antibiotics.

But at 5' 2" and 186 lbs she can afford to go for a while.

She got a visit today from someone she used to work with. Talked for almost 4 hours. She was very good after that.

Question now of which rehab and for how long.
Going to be a long hard grind for both of us. Neither one of us has been away from the other for more than 3-4 days in 24 years.
Still if that is what it takes to get my girl back, healed and healthy, then that is what it takes.

No, you don't. That's the Holy Spirit's job - don't try to do God's job for Him. No one comes to Him without the Holy Spirit first convicting them - so the convicting is God's job. Your job is to point the way, to be the witness - and Bishop Anslem said that we should 'testify to Christ, if necessary use words'. You are doing that.

You might point out the change in you and the fact that you have never been able to accomplish it in your whole life, it is God doing it. She may see that.
