First time powder coat. Step on in.

    Good evening.

Here are the results of my first time powder coating.

Powder used was Translucent Copper from Smoke.

Bullets were Lee .44 SWC, and Lee .45 230gr RN, both tumble lube.

The .44s got one coat, and the .45s got two coats.

I squished a few in the vise and the coating stayed on. I’m really looking forward to shooting a few of these.

at least you started your adventure with a proven powder, saves a lot of aggravation when learning something new.

So far so good! I was slow to PC but now I doubt I ever go back to lubes. Its just too easy & everything runs cleaner with PC; gun & press.

The 45s went over 4.1grs of Bullseye, and they seemed to work well. No feeding problems.

Shot them in my XDs into a stump and recovered a few. Coating was still on.
