222 Rem Mag/204 Ruger 40 Gr Bullet Loads

I have an opportunity to purchase some Hogdon H380 powder at a great price. Since no load data appears for the 204 Ruger using H380, I looked at the 222 Rem. Mag (parent case of the 204) and found a load of 28.5 to 31.0 grains of H380 behind a 40 grain SP. I generally use 39 and 40 grain 204's and was wondering if anyone has used H380 in the 204. H380 is a relatively slow burning powder that could see reduced velocities in 22"-24" inch barrels, this possibly could be improved somewhat in the 26" Savage barrel ?...Any input ?

In a 22-204AI, I use a powder that is next to H380. Leverevolution. Works great with 60/62gr bullets. 26" bbl

A touch too slow but it will work just won't get top velocities out of it who know might do well accuracy wise though
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

A call to a Hogdon tech would give a great starting place.

I recently contacted Hogdon about using H380 in smaller (204 Ruger) capacity cases.....haven't heard back as of yet

I'd like to know too, came up with 20+ lbs. of H380 last fall. I need multiple opportunities to turn it into smoke.

Wish Hodgdon had a selection for "any cartridge" with a specific powder. Generate a list of all cartridges that a given powder would work in with tested data.
