Kept waiting for you to tell us a little about loading for and shooting that 7X33. Did you do it and I miss it?

I did get it shooting at the expense of $2.00 brass and $1.00 bullets. It shoots well and I have killed a few gophers with it...

Today continued with the gopher marathon, as I have shot hundreds of them the past few days. I took the Colt Burgess and Bisley out again today and shot some more with them...

Larry, I always appreciate when somebody asks for help and you give them spot on advice. But I always enjoy how you can tell a story, exactly how it was without embellishment. Thank you for letting me know the dangers of the Oregon Prairie. Many folks have no idea just how dangerous it is when confronted By the chisel tooth. Frank

Wow! Those are rather impressive kills. But $1 bullets? Is the 7X33 bore not .284"?

Sorry to highjack your post away from those great old firearms, but I have really been curious about the little Sako.

What an awesome story. Thanks! I have told similar story's to folks over the years. Even my best attempt failed miserably compared to the eloquence you possess. A master story teller you are for sure.

The vicious critter in the OP’s first post ..... if it was up-to something .... it would have done it by now!

The story ..... it read like straight out of Patrick McMannus!

Man, all this dangerous lean, mean, razor toothed game hunting has my blood stirred. Good thing you two gents succeeded in your daring forays. To do anything less will take the press from a man's pants.

The buffalo are pretty much gone, and there ain't no grizz left anyway.

Uh, 76 in 45/70? You mean 45/75, right? Or 45/60. But not 45/70.

Having read that in its entirety, I am sure one leg is now longer than the other one. I just have to figure out if its the right one or the left one.
