    For lloyd smale

In another thread you wrote, "one of my go to 40 loads is that 175 lee tn bullet with 5.8 grains of unique. Ive shot THOUSANDS OF THEM and never had a single issue. "

I have access to those bullets too. How hot is that load? I noticed Speers #14 manual list 6.7 Unique with their 180 GDHP Is 5.8 a target load or close to safe full power load? Have you taken anything with that bullet? I have two 40 S&W's.

    Thanks

The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
