    O-ring size

Can't seem to find the O-ring for the Lyman 450.
It's the one for the lube pusher.

    Googling around a bit suggests...

    O-ring Inside diameter 13/16"

    O-ring Outside diameter 1 1/16"

    1/8" thick

    It's not a critical fit.
It only has to hold back lube, not high hydraulic fluid or oil pressure.

Take it to the hardware store and get a couple, if none look exact, get a slightly smaller but fatter one.
    It'll stretch and fit OK.

Speaking of O-rings and lubri-sizers, can somebody give me the specs for the o-ring at the top of the sizing die itself? Are the ones for Lyman and RCBS dies identical in size? TIA!

    Wrong ones.
    The one in the picture.
For the lube sizer press not the dies.
    As far as I can tell, it's a #16 O ring.
    Store had #14 and #17.
    I'll keep on looking.

I have five Lyman 45's and three of them are leaking at the bottom. I just called Lyman and a recording said, " do to Covid 19. Rots a Ruck".

Do a search on this site. I had the same problem and a member hooked me up.

Have an assortment of o rings.
Red flip top box with many sizes.
To big, to skinny, to small, to fat.
Also have auto A/C o rings, to skinny.
I'm probably over thinking this thing.
But there must be a correct size for it.
That, and with the range closed, what else have I got to do these days.

Right ... bring in the old O-ring , give it to the sales clerk and tell him "I need a couple like this "...
in a few minutes he will find some ... Auto Parts Stores are the best ... big box places suck rocks ...no help when you need it .
Always buy two ... just in case something happens to one while you are installing it or you drop it and it disappears into the black hole that parts go into .

I bought few #15 's, 1"O.D.- 3/4" I,D.- X 1/8. They are just a little tight but sealed my Lyman 450 pump piston just fine.

We’re conflating the O-ring numbers for the piston and the die. I take some of the responsibility, so I’ll reiterate, that if you need the O-ring for your DIE you can go to your local Ace Hardware and get a #35 from their bins. At $.79 each, they were a little more pricey than I recalled, but they are in hand immediately and ready to install.
