    Anyone recognize this 400gr .452 boolit?

    Anyone seen these before?

    .452 plain base, 400gr with a meplat of around .285??

    Resembles a #018 Saeco. From the looks of the wide bands, it may have been downsized to .452"./beagle
    diplomacy is being able to say, "nice doggie" until you find a big rock.....

    My #018 Saeco weighed 412 grains when lubed. Pretty close weight wise./beagle

    I would say the same, a downsized 458 bullet. Years ago I got some similar bullets from a man who shot them in his 50cal muzzleloader with sabots. I loaded them into my 45 Colt rifle with Trail Boss. IIRC, I got 650-700fps but 25yd accuracy was surprisingly good. If the sun was shining I could see the bullet impact the targets.
