I would get the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook 4th Edition, it's available on Amazon. You also might want to check out this: http://www.lasc.us/Fryxell_Book_Contents.htm

I'll second both recommendations. Very good basis for casting. I've read Fryxell's book several times and the Lyman 4th once with repeats on several articles.

Welcome to the CB.GL forum by the way! Howdy from Kentucky.

The cast bullet third is available free here, http://marvinstuart.com/firearm/Manu...-%20Reduce.pdf

It's great for technical stuff but does little to teach a person how to cast. Knowing how to cast and the whys of casting are two different things.

Ok here’s the web address cornellpubs.com They do re-prints of old publications. If you can’t find an original there a good sauce for reprints!

Buy the Lyman book ... download and print Fryxell's chapters as you need them , I printed the important chapters and keep them in a binder . Keep the link handy . Chapter on fluxing is great info...read it !
These two books will get you going. The Lyman Cast Bullet #4 is my go to "bible" for cast data .
Be sure and read the informative chapters in the Lyman Cast #4 ...lots of good info in there .
