Half Dog Optics planet canceled my order. Is that one of the things you were referring to? The site says the powder measure is in stock. But the ammo boxes i ordered are not. I ordered them to round up to free shipping. I emailed them as to why. Waiting for a reply.

I think the new Brass Smith measure is more a copy of the Redding or RCBS measure than an updated 55.
It least they look more like one of those than the 55.

I just received my new Lyman Brass Smith powder measure. I have to say that it's a lot of measure for the price, easy to set up and very accurate on the first powder I tried (HP-38) I know that's an easy powder to get good results with. I'll post again if I see any problems with stick powder but that's not why I bought this measure. I wanted a measure to throw very small powder charges. Think 32ACP or 32 S&W the dial adjustment makes adding or subtracting tenths easy. I like the RCBS little dandy but fine tuning a couple of tenths isn't possible and The Uniflow with the large metering cylinder (what I have) doesn't get down into the small two's very well. I don't have a lot of Lyman products but I believe this measure to be a winner. Gp

It's another rotating drum measurer with another marked dial and handle. Lyman does good work, I'm sure it will work just as well as the others that work the same way. (Redding, Hornady, RCBS)

It's out for delivery today.

Wow wow what a difference between it and a lee measure. Drum is steel. And the frame is steel. And the drop tubes are steel. Only plastic is the powder hopper and lid. Ran some throws with green dot. Then i set a weight. And checked for consistency. A tenth of a gain plus or minus. I think it will be spot on with fine powders. Im a happy camper.
