BELL wiping lead-what is tin content? Well, that about says it. Found some 5 # bars. Need to know if the price is right.
This is Bell Telephone joint solder in 5# trapezoid bars.
Thanks in advance

~30-40% tin if real. No idea what it's worth, basically tin price?
Whatever!
Between 37% & 40% tin depending on when it was made.

Wiping solder is typically 62% lead and 38% tin, so treat it as such.

I would have to keep one of those ingots as a conservation piece! They are pretty much a thing of the past. Working with lead covered cable, either electrical of communication, is pretty much a lost art.
