WTS J. Stevens Model 17 .22 Project Rifle with New Octagon Barrel

For sale is a J. Stevens Model 17 .22 LR Project Rifle with New Octagon Replacement Barrel. We picked this up a long time ago and acquired a new 24" octagon blank from Brownell's to rebarrel but never got to it... Despite it's outward appearance, the action is exceptionally tight (reason for buying it) and the trigger is very crisp for the genre. The 20" 1/2 octagon 1/2 round barrel could be relined. We did many of these for other people but never took the time to do this one for ourselves.

Price for the rifle and the octagon barrel blank is $150 shipped. We can accept only a Postal Money Order or Cash, and we try to ship within 24 hours of receiving payment. First "I'll take it" here followed by a PM gets the rifle. We'll send along another used buttstock with the rifle.

    Thanks for looking!

Tried to PM you and received the following message:
"One Gun Andy has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space."
Let me know when you get this problem corrected so I can again try to PM you.

According to the UPS tracking site, they are having great difficulty delivering this package to the shop address, a shop on a major street in a medium sized Incorporated City in southern California.
It was "out for Delivery" on June 3rd but then "in Transit" on June 4th and June 5th which is strange.
The reason given for the delay is now stated as 'an emergency or severe weather'.
Since I am able to visit the shop and the weather here has not been bad (actually cloudy only) why is UPS giving this as an excuse?
I have called their Customer Service number and was assured a local Customer representative would call me back Friday between 1000AM and 1100AM Friday.
    No One Called Me Back!
    Very BAD Customer relations Indeed.
Now it is Saturday and they are 'closed for the weekend' so when wil I get my paid for "Favorite"Project kit?

Also noted Friday in Sun Valley, Burbank, and Glendale CA were the Brown UPS Trucks making deliveries and pickups.

Why could they not deliver my package to the addressed Shop is my main question.

I received a call from my local gun shop to let me know UPS delivered my package this afternoon. I will be going into the store to fill out the transfer paperwork and inspect the package and contents.

Transfer paperwork, fees, and Taxes filled out, filed, and paid ($122 Total fees and taxes). This brings the total cost up to ~$272.

The model 17 was as in photos, fine rust surface on metal, taped wrist on stockbut the action cycles and trigger works. caliber is spelled out as ".22 Long Rifle", did not detail inspect other markings, to be done after I gain possession in about 10 days.

Spare Octagon barrel (~.760"-.762" across flats and about 24" long) and spare stock are usable with work.

Both barrel bores were clear of obstructions and showed rifling.
