    .43 Beaumont

    I make cases for the .43 Beaumont starting with .50-90 Sharps brass. Cut it to 2.05 length in a Harbor Freight circular saw. Then I anneal the cases, lubricate well, and run them through the CH-4D dies. I load them with 30 grains of IMR4198 powder and use Dacron filler. I don’t put the filler in tight, not loose, just right to fill the case. Best boolet is the Lee, 405 hollow base. I’ve used the Lyman 457122 hp, it’s not quite as good.

    You could try forming by neck sizing the trimmed cases with a 45 LC die. Works for me with a bit of trial and error. Then fireform. Afterwards the neck die is all that is needed to reload.
