    Mine is ww2, made in germany. Good steel, If the new ones are still made in
    germany of carbon steel I would get it. If made in China It will be junk.
    Inlarging the picture the markings are the same, except mine has a all
    metal handle, the one in picture looks to be plastic. But it might have a
    blackened handle. The old ones were good steel and took a good edge.
    The new ones might be made of stainless. All I can say is try one out
    and report back.
