    Can you replace the barrel? Also according to everything I have read the .225 Winchester and the 22-250 had about the same maximum pressure.

    Richdog, that is the best idea I have heard in a long time, I know where there is a 30/30 340 that can be had for cheap, $200 or so. I have a newfound love for the 38/55.
