Looking to try and identify this stock. It’s installed on a Rem 700, made in 1987. Obviously a bit of custom work done, was used in high power matches.
Thanks,
Jay

Looks like an early McMillan. I had a very similar one on my Winchester Model 70 which I had done in 1984. Mine was based on the USMC George Van Orden WW2 sniper pattern, but with full length fore-end rail and hand stop, Freeland adjustable butt plate and an adjustable cheek piece. It was reinforced with an aluminum box girder in the fore-end, pillar bedded and reinforced throughout with 600-mesh stainless steel wire, being bedded in Marinetex with molded-in NATO woodlland pattern camo, same as used on the M40A1. Barrel was a BJ Obermeyer 28" schnabel-target contour in 1:11" twist in a tight-bore, four-groove NATO form, as 5R wasn't being made yet.
When I finally shot out the barrel I sold the rifle. BIG mistake which I regret to this day.
I bought a 1942 Model 70 .30 Gov't '06 with clip slot and also a 1933 Winchester Model 54 with clip slot, both with long slide Lyman 48s and 17As as pennance.
No longer shoot NRA highpower, but do enjoy shooting cast at 200 yards in the classic boltguns.

Keep it to yourself.
I was thinking it looked like something McMillan would make, but wasn't sure.
You might double check in a Brownell's catalog.
They have lots of good pictures of their wares-
They sell McMillan stuff, and it might still be in production.

OK People. Enough of this idle chit-chat.

My guess is that it is a HSPrecision M24 stock Pop the metal out if it has an aluminum bedding block likely an hs stock. Many times the blocks got skim bedded so you may need to look more closely

Yes, we figured it out. Emailed McMullian, they turned us into HS precision, where they were able to confirm it was a PST007.
Thanks for the help
