    Reforming 348Win to 12.7x44R

From L to R, Original round (Bertram), 348 Winchester, expanded to 12.7mm and trimmed to length, bullet seated and ready for fireforming, fully formed ready to reload. You may notice the rim on the 348 brass is a little smaller that the proper case but they work for bringing a 145 year old rifle "back to life".

My rifle shoots well at 75yds with black powder.

Hold Still Varmint; while I plugs Yer!

Nicely done. I'm using 50/70 Govt and 50 Alaskan as donor brass. Are you using 50/70 dies or do you happen to have a set of 12.7x44R dies??

Have 12.7x44R dies. I also own a 50/70 but there is no way it will enter the chamber without skimming the case head and sizing the body down.
